Was die Welt zusammenhält29.1.–27.3.2026Tichy Ocean Zürich
The artist, curator and psychiatrist Roman Buxbaum runs the exhibition space tichyocean in Zurich, which is centred around the work of photographer Miroslav Tichý. Buxbaum and I share an interest in the work of Andreas Tschappu, which forms the starting point of my guest exhibition (29 January–27 March 2026).
The exhibition is a plea for more glue. What Holds the World Together deals with the adhesive we need so that everything does not fall apart. It speaks of the glue required to hold together the things in our lives, so that our identity does not crumble. And it refers to the bonding agent that enables us to care for one another at all, rather than living solely within our own memories and dreams.
The exhibition format provides an opportunity to bring together artists with whom I have collaborated for a longer time, or whose work I have followed for many years. With: Benedikt Bock, Friedrich Dürrenmatt, Sabine Hertig, Maya Hottarek, Goshka Macuga, Rémy Markowitsch, Andreas Tschappu, Rolf Winnewisser.
